    What other engines will fit?

In the jato, what other engines will fit?

or what size engines will easily drop in instead of the 3.3?

if you have a dremel, really just about any engine is possible...as fas as a straight drop in, I'm not sure if the TZ or TM are...pm Outlaw4tec, he's pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the OS engines and what exactly will work.

The OS 18 TM is a direct drop in if you get the one for the Revo. The manifold is a little shorter so you will have to buy some silicone exhaust tubing to connect to your pipe. You can use the EZ start, pull start, or Roto start with this motor.

I think the OS 18TZ requires the use of a bump start box but it has more power than the TM or 3.3.

I have run the TM in my Jato with the dual chamber resonator pipe and was pleased with it. I broke the crankshaft in it and replaced it with a 3.3. For the money, I would stick with the 3.3. The TM has more torque but doesn't have the top end power of the 3.3.

I run a RB V.12 in my racer jato. a 3.3 in my basher. the RB was pretty easy to fit in once I found a clutch nut that would fit. other than that the "drop in" was pretty easy.

    3.3 KO's the 18TM

The thing about is, traxxas went through great lengths to make sure that putting a "competitor's" engine in your jato a hard task. If you want a good drop in motor for your jato other than the 3.3, go with the 18TM the former drop in king. The sad thing is.... every since the TRX 3.3 came out everyone kinda forgot about the 18TM but, dont think for a second OS is'nt gonna make another must have drop in motor this year. One good thing about these post being recorded is I'll go back to this page and say "I told you so"..........

yeah I am running a TM in my Jato with an Ofna pipe and header. the pipe completely wakes up the TM. more top end, and sounds amazing as well.
