I have the Ofna 1/10th scale It's $80 but it comes with everything you need (Except charger). Even a glow plug ignitor. I really like it.

Going starter box is expensive. It only cost me ~$90 for the Jato. But I think I've spent around $200 for the revo.

Note: You do not need a backplate. But I suggest the Maximizer Backplate. It's great.
Revo and Jato. Starterbox is the way to go.

The Dynamite Ready Start is a good choice. It is also pretty small and lightweight if you use two stick packs, but it has the option of using a 12v battery without rewiring. I used one with my truggy, slightly modified for more power to kick over the big .21 engine.
    I'm so smrt. D'oh!

I use the Ofna Blue Box. It fits the JATO perfectly, has a bigger more powerful motor, and it's not pink.

Oh, I agree. It is cute. It would look great with a Teddy Bear sticker on it.

I looked at that one, but the motors don't have enough oomf for my liking. The 3.3 needs some power to turn it over. Especially a new one.
The blue box is made for big blocks. The 3.3 almost fits that category.

The Ofna 1/10th scale has two 550 motors. Thats more then enough to turn over the 3.3!

Yeah, they'll probably turn it over. Like I said though not enough for me, I like the power in the Blue Box. I'll probably use it for bigger engines some day anyway.

Around 5 lbs usually. It really depends on the box and what battery you have in it. The 12v batteries are heavy.

Mine has a 12v battery in it and it's pretty danged heavy. I can handle it as long as I eat a nutritious breakfast first.
