I picked up a used (and abused) jato 3.3. I rebuilt every damaged part on it. Replaced the whole ezstart and wiring harness. Swapped out the chassis and also installed integy aluminum a-arms front and back, and the aluminum front bumper.
I put 1.7 springs on the rear, and .7 on the front. Inner most mounting hole top and bottom both front and back.
Ive run alot of traxxas nitros, but never a jato. My understanding is that 3.3 engine should pop a wheelie with no effort, but mine just wont go up. Instead it'll spin the tires and spin in place if i even tap the steering. When I go full throttle, it almost sounds like its about to stall out (too lean/rich maybe?).
Id appreciate any tips on how to tune the engine better and what I need to do to the suspension to make the thing wheelie somewhat reliably.
