Yes you can make Mashers and Moabs fit by cutting them down.
erm what tyres will fit without any modification to 2.8 Jato Rims. i have just ordered all the Wheel parts so i need some good off road ones. I would mainly take it on short grass and normal dirt!!!!!!!![]()

That would be Victoried and Anacondas. Some other Companies make 2.8 tires but I am not sure who they are.
when you say cut you mean.??????

trim the insides?

Yes literaly cut the bead of the tire down.
is there much chance i will mess it up if i haven't done it b4???

Probably. Try it on some old tires first tho.
what would i use sissors? or a craft knife/ stanley knife ect ect
Goe's Like A Jato
A hobby knife makes it easier.
how much would i have to take off roughly? a third of an inch all the way around

I think i will go with the mashers. What do u think?

2.2 and 2.8 stand for the diameter of the wheel therefore you need a tire of equal inner diameter that will fit (diameter of the hole in the middle).
So you need to get a 2.2" diameter tire up to a 2.8" diameter which is a .6" difference in diameter which means yes, roughly 1/3" trimmed off the radius or .3" But the 2.8" rims are a bit different in that some of the tire is "tucked in" towards the center of the wheel so you should probably plan on leaving another .05" for that (I'd guess) so I'd say start off trimming no more than 1/4" (.25") off the tire and go from there. I've never done this myself but it seems pretty straight forward when I've read about it.
There's a good write up on this somewhere maybe someone can provide a link as I don't have it anymore.

where u want to cut is were the bean and side wall come together.
i have masher and the 2.8 make them a little wider, but i used 20 clutch bell and 58 spur for more torc.
i have masher 2k's on the stock 2.8 rims, i cut them with sissors
Sounds good to me.Originally Posted by UkJato3.3
