    steering problem

I just started having steering problems. I just installed the XL-10 which is running great and now my steering is acting up. I made sure my pack was fully charged and the batteries in the controller (stock) were brand new. I'll be going straight and I'll turn and nothing will happen until let off the wheel and turn again or it will just be a really delayed reaction. Also I can turn and it might get stuck and turn in circles until I turn it back the other way. It's just glitchy. I have the 6cell battery held doen with a velcro strap which means the reciever is also held down by velcro so it wiggles around alot, but it willnever fly out. Does it matter that it wiggles around, I mean, does it have to be locked down stationary with out being able to move? I was thinking about trying a new antenna. Any ideas?

is it like the steering servo is messed up? or i think it sounds to me like the connection from servo to the reciever is bad, check where it plugs in

That sounds like stripped gears in the servo. Like Matt said, be sure to check your connection.

Thanks for the advice. I don't know much about the servo or reciever. I will check all connections closely because it is acting like a loose connection. I would be suprised if the gears were stripped because I haven't drivin it that much since I bought it and I haven't abused it, but I guess that doesn't matter. Another reason it sounds like a loose connection is that sometimes it twitches. You'll be going in a straight line and you'll see the steering twitch and then straighten out. Almost like it's developing a mind of its own.

I had that same exact problem before and it ended up being the reciever. I only figured that out after replacing the wires and the servo which didn't fix it.
