    I need more Traxxion

I have a Street Sport that is a week and a half old. I have a Tekin Rebel ESC and a Speed Gems 2 Garnet 13T in it. It is very fast, but even after getting new tires (Proline strikers on-road), I still have a definite lack of traction. I can handle it being a bit squirrely off the line, but when I'm running at full speed (35-40mph), I can hardly keep it from spinning around. It did this today, hitting a crack in the asphalt while sliding sideways, and barrel-rolled about five or six times. It whirled too fast for me to count. Nothing broken or damaged, but I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to buy a big wing for the rear of the body for some downforce. Any other tips (shock set-up, etc) that would increase rear traction would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

its all about weight. Add weight in the back where the wheele are, and you shouldn't have a problem.

The Street Sport is naturally squirly...it doesn't have bellcrank steering, so it manuevers really quick, and the direct-drive, 2WD drive system is quick and hard to control if it's not set up right. I used a Reedy MVP, Power Pulse ESC, 6-cell battery, and Ofna slick tires on mine, and it handles almost as well as my Rustler (with Dirt Hawgs!) You really don't need anything more than a stock motor on a Street Sport, it goes really fast with even the Stinker.

Mabey you could put some of that liquid stuff that makes your tires stick to the ground better. Just a thought.

the traction compound barely works and wears off after a lap or two.

Didnt someone already post this topic before? I recognize that spelling. Is this that old topic, cause i noticed Colin posted as Colin, not yet ToyotaR. But I thought I posted on it way back then...

Try to find wide TC wheels and tire for the rear of your car (HPI makes sets in 31mm, instead of the usual 24-26mm). They would add stability and traction off the line. And a wing would help you at high speeds alot, but it wouldnt really make a difference off the line. You could also just try a different body with better down force. I can tell you from experience that HPI x pattern radials are great, I use them on my 4tec and it steers like its glued to the road, I cant make it slide when i try to.

How warm does your Tekin Rebel get with that 13turn? I have a Rebel in my 4tec, but i havent bought a new motor yet. I was going to try a 11 or 12 turn since it claims to handle 10 turns almost every where I've seen it advertised (including the packaging), but the manual says 16T. I dont know what to believe.
