    Question I am thinking about buying an E-Maxx? Q: & A:

I Have been running a stampede and a rustler ever since I got into the hobby, and now I am ready to upgrade. I dont want to go nitro, but I dont want to stay 2wd, I have never seen an E-maxx running so I wouldnt know much about them! My first question is :
Is the run time on an E-maxx about the same as a stampede, if I run twin 3500mah 7cells? Next Q; Is an Emaxx faster than a stock stampede or rusty? Q: The 2gear tranny, is that like the Tmaxx with 2 speed tranny or is it High and Low(high for speed, low for torque)? Q: on a 1-10 scale 1 being no maintenance and 10 meaning just a little bump and its maintenance time, How high of maintenance is the truck?

    Thank you!

3500mah packs will get you around 15 minutes.

The best is go get high quality packs like GP3700's, GP4300's, IB3800's, and IB4200SHV's. Those can get you close to 20 minutes, or more.

Run time varies alot on terrain and how its driven. Lots of first gear running on road can get you alot of time. My 3000mah sportpacks got over half an hour running like this. However, I have drained them in less than 8 minutes doing speed runs in 2nd gear on grass.

The maintainance is not alot, but it is still required. General cleaning of motors, overall inspecition, and driveline maintenance are basically it.

The transmission works like any transmission ratio wise. lower gear numbers will have more torque but less top speed than higher gear numbers. Higher gear numbers will have more top speed but less torque than lower gear numbers. So in first gear, it will wheelie very easily and have lots of acceleration, but top speed wont be that high. In second, top speed is higher, but since its an E-Maxx, it still has tons of torque in second.

The unique thing about the E-Maxx tranny is that it is a manual tranny. You get to choose when to shift, up or down, whenever you want.

you say it is a manual tranny, does that mean that you can shift while driving?
