    Jato 3.3 Resonator (5541) vs optional 5543 & 5545

    Hi All,

I noticed that the Jato 3.3 comes with a very nice alloy resonator which is part number #5541.

I also see that Traxxas offer two other resonators as upgrades for the Jato, part numbers #5583 and #5585.

Here is the description taken from the Traxxas website:

Part #5483 Tuned pipe, Resonator, R.O.A.R. legal (aluminum, single-chamber, enhances low to mid-rpm engine power) bright polished finish. includes pressure fitting/ 4mm GS (for TRX Racing Engines)

Part #5485 Tuned pipe, Resonator, R.O.A.R. legal (aluminum, dual-chamber, maximum mid to high-rpm engine power) bright polished finish. includes pressure fitting/ 4mm GS (for TRX Racing Engines)

What I would like to try and find out is what the standard Jato 3.3 pipe is classed as....top end, bottom end or mid range pipe??

I wonder if it is much different to the two mentioned above??

Anyone from Traxxas that can answer this??

    Thanks in advance,
    Shaun.

    5541X Tuned pipe, Resonator, R.O.A.R. legal, blue-anodized (single-chamber,
enhances low to mid-rpm engine power) (fits Jato, Jato 3.3, N. Rustler,
    N. 4-Tec, N.4-Tec 3.3, with TRX Racing Engines)

it is blue, that is the difference with the other single chamber.

    Thanks for the reply,

It would be interesting to see how much more top end you gain on the 3.3 with the #5485 pipe.

Considering the Jato 3.3 is already geared up for such a big top end, it may not be worth the upgrade.

it might make it easier to drive too, the 2.5 is already too much to drive without it spinning out easily.

soften the bottom and maybe momentum will help when it comes on the pipe.
