Im sure if u had a huge distance to run the Jato in a straight line and you could devise a way to keep the front of the Jato down, you could use a really good top - end gear ratio (horrible acceleration) with an engine that has the highest RPM's and youd get one fast Jato, assuming that it didn't become unstable due to the wind at that speed.

I put a 3.3 in a jato the other day. I can't wait to see what top speeds I can get out of it.

The top speed won't be much higher. It will prolly be the same. What determines your speed is the RPM, and the RPM on the 3.3 is around the same as every other motor out there. You will notice a difference in acceleration, but top speed will be about the same.

If you made a high downforce body, and wide ratio gearing, and a 3.3, 75+ wouldn't be problem,

You need a body that would fit over wheels and all, and shaped like the Lola bodies. wedge shaped kinda. Those bodys produce tremendous downforce, so much it can push the chassis all the way down to the ground. I know a guy friom the lhs that has a 1/8 touring car with a body like that and once he gets about 60+, his chassis starts hitting the ground and scraping, when he lets off the throttle, the chassis raises back up.
