    Nitro Sport opinion questions

    Hey,
I've had an electric rustler for about eh'..., 7 months now and just can't get my mind off of RC!!!! So I thought I'd go Nitro and with GREAT expiriences with the Traxxas company in the past and finding XTM's Customer Service was a bust I want to get a Nitro Sport SE. My first question is durability, 1 for great 5 for twig-like fragile I know it will probobly be in the 1s to 2s because eh, Traxxas makes it. And just a dumb question but really buggin' me What does the "SE" mean???
    Thanks,
    Mr.Gettin'aNSSE

the durability of the nitro sport would be like a 4.5, i have one and ive taken it off of jumps my friends savage cant handle, also se means special edition, it is se because the origianal ns had a trx 15 not pro .15, and the se has an added slipper slutch.

    hope this helps, nitrosport2002

for durability i'd give it a 4. The plastic chassis doesn't hold up as good as an aluminium one would and the steering setup leads to a lot of busted turnbuckles.

NS2002, I think you mean 0.5. He said the lower the number, the higher the durability.
I think it depends on what kind of terrain you take it on, and what kind of driver you are. The NS takes small jumps very well, but you're likely to break something if you take it off 5' jumps at WOT and land on your left front wheel and do a quadruple cartwheel (exactly what I do ). If you land correctly, no matter how high the jump, you'll probably only break the rear shock tower (>5' jumps only). Also, landing on grass will dampen your falls VERY well. I did a 7' jump maybe doing around 30 mph (WOT for me, I have super-low gearing) and landed in grass, didn't break nothing. On that same jump, I landed on a bush, the bush sprung me 4' in the air, and I landed on my wheels, no harm done. However, on a different jump, maybe 3' high on the cement, I was breaking parts all over the place! Like I said, it depends on how you abuse it: 3.5.

the ns is a pretty durable truck once you get to knowing what it takes before it explodes on ya. ive gone through many a spur gear and many a front caster blocks but overall its a pretty strong truck. ps. if you run on concrete, run with a torn up body. 50 foot skids on roof tear up the body pretty easily.
nitro sport with trx 2.5R rock! but it still breaks fast!
