Adding ON/OFF switch to Pede with MSC?

Can I add a on/off switch to a pede with a MSC? I notice in the manual it states they don't install a switch on MSC models. Thanks.

Just stick a switch into one of the wires that go to the batteries.
Can anyone tell me the best way to dodge the jumping mailbox posts?

You mean add a switch to the MSC side after the tamiya plug?

You'll have to have a HUGE switch to carry the current in that setup. Unless you mean having the switch on the receiver. If you actually want to switch the power from the battery to the speed control, you'll need the afore mentioned switch or a relay setup. Either way is difficult and not really worth it.
It didn't have enough power... so, I rewired it!

You can get a 4 cell reciever pack and put it in your pede, with an on off switch. That way you wont lose control of your car win the 6 cell runs dead. Plug the 4 cell AA pack into the switch, then plug the switch into the reciever where it says 'BATT'

But isn't chasing after your car as it slowly rolls away into traffic one of the best parts of this hobby?

Seriously though,as was siad, you can't put a switch from the batteries directly as they carry huge amounts of current. If you really have your heart set on keping the MSC (as in ifyou love playing int he water/mud/snow) then a relay makes lots of sense, or the receiver pack.

That actually happened to me on a few occasions, I even had the 4 cell pack. Teh pack fell out of my car and the car started strait towards route 1, which is a 55 MPH 2 lane highway.

This one from Radio Shack should work (275-603). It has an extra pole, which isn't a big deal. You might be able to find a smaller one browsing through your local Radio Shack. I'd go a minimum of 5 amps.
