Rich and lean are fuel mixture settings, you might have heard this term if you have been dealing with any kind of engine in the past. Lean means the engine is getting more air than fuel going into the engine, rich means its getting more fuel than air going into the engine. You will have to learn how to tune the engine in the Jato though, it will take some practice.

ah okay thanks, anything else about set up, they where talking about 2 1/2 turn and 4 1/2 turn i dont know what that means. My rustler has been clocked at 40mph so 55 will be a bit of a shock

the 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 is the adjustments on the high speed needle, you use it to adjust how rich or lean the engine is, you measure it from turns from closed, so 2 1/2 means its 2 1/2 turns from closed or 4 1/2 is 4 1/2 turns from closed.

The Jato documentation (manual etc) really contains a lot of this stuff, and even if you bought yours used, you can download the manual as a PDF from the Traxxas site. A lot of your questions are addressed there as well. Downloading the PDF will save you the time of having to wait for someone here to respond.

AirPressure is correct when he says it will take some practice, and let me tell you I have been so fustrated I wanted to quit, so tonight I decidced to read up on tunning the engine I think I have somewhat of a grasp on what I need to do, but again practice is everything when it comes to tunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
