What a difference the right tools make..

I had been using the old hex sets that hold about 8 sizes, you know, the cheap ones. Then for Xmas I got this set. MAN what a difference. SO much better. I can't believe I ever used the other style. I will never go back.

I find it kind of funny you like that set. When I first started out, I purchased that set. Nearly instantly, I started stripping the head of screws and of the hex drivers themselves. I went back to the allen keys until I purchased this set and a team losi 3mm driver. I will never go back to the duratrax ones. My new ones even removed the ones the duratrax ones stripped out.

I bought three hexes from dynamite. The 1.5, 2 and 2.5 for about $10. I thought that was a good deal.

I use the Losi's and they're great. Hard anondized handles and titanium nitrade coated shafts.

I use RD Logics and they have been great. Down the road, I would like to get some with ball ends though.

The Dynamte ones that rcmastermind linked too are the best inexpensive ones by far. I've been using those for years without any problems at all.

You can get Losi tips at Horizon, who also sells the Dynamite drivers.

Actually, if you wanted, you could just buy the tips for the dynamite drivers. They will fit into the duratrax handles fine. That will save you a few dollars if you like the handles. I personally prefer the dynamite aluminum handles though.

In the link that I posted for the drivers, I typed "Dynamite replacement tip" in the search box & got these results.

Yeah, I could imagine those duratrax ones stripping out. I don't have that hex set, but I'm never buying another Duratrax product. Here's why: I bought this fuel bottle, and I had it for like 3 weeks. Then, after I finished fixing my car, I decided to take it out for a test ride. I opened the fuel tank cap, and started to tilt my bottle to pour some fuel in, and ALL THIS FUEL SPILLED ON THE GROUND. I looked at my bottle, and the neck of the bottle, where you insert the rubber plug, had split down the seam about an inch! I WAS SO MAD! I'm just warning you!

Quick update, instead of getting the dynamite tips for my duratrash, I decided to just go all losi. I bought a 2.0 a 2.5 and a 2.5 ball tip for my 2 drivers i have now.
