    Break-In Question

I just got a Trinity Amber 17T and need to know worn the brushes need to be, to be considered "broken-in" I have run it on a drill for about 10 min and see where they have worn some but still has the serated lines. Is that good enough or should it be worn smooth before running in the truck.

    Thanks,

    Bantae

When the brushes start wearing across the entire face of the brush instead of just in the middle of the brush face, they are fully broken-in. There's an illustration showing this here. It's ok if the serrations are still there if the brush is otherwise making full contact with the comm.

doesn't really matter which way, because the brushes are still being broekn in no matter what way the motor armature is spun...

Have fun with your new motors guys.
