    has any one put a thiner washer under there trx 2.5 head

    i just picked up a pack of cooling head gasket because i am going to put the power tune head on from traxxas but the pack came with 0.15 0.26 and 0.35mm gaskets has any one used a thiner /thicker one is it safe and dose it help in power

    i think there different so u can use them with different % nitro fuel so im guessing the .15 would be for 10% , the .26 would be for 20% and the .35 would be for 30%--33%, but i have been wrong

    those modify the compression ratio. the thinner the gasket, the more compression.

    more compression produces more power, but there are drawbacks such as more stress on the con rod which eventually results in reduced engine life.

    i think stock is .26 use stock, but if you require more power, you can try to use .15.

    use the stock shim unless you know what you are doing you may get an airleak, use an really thin flat head screw driver or thin razor blade to flip it up
