Just got a jato friday night, my first real r/c truck. anyways I Live around the Seattle area in Wash. state and the every now and the a little rain will happen, my question is, what and how do i go about waterproofing my jato so the puddle or 2 or a little bit of snow wont kill the electronics...

Balloon the reciever. Take a balloon, put it over the reciever, and all the wires that go in there, and zip tie the end shut.

    Plasti dip the Servo's.

Those are the two most basic things, and the main electronics.

Balooning the reciever is a must.

Cheap Way: Plasti-Dip servos and still take the risk of water entering via the horn.

Expensive Way: Buy waterproof servo. Waterproof servos are sealed tight with O-Rings and water seeping in is minumal/none.

Also, watertight the batteries, you could probably do the balloon trick over them too...

Your LHS may or may not have them, but they could always order them, It depends on the quality of the hobbyshop, and owner.

i just put a small dab of silicone sealant over every seem or joint of my servos and radio boxes and such. i wipe whatever excess is off...

my t-maxx is fully waterproofed (with the exception of my failsafe and new steerings servo, havent gotten to that), but doesnt give any appearence that it is.

Some Hitec's are waterproof and Digital Futaba's are.

    I have a 5945, completly air/water tight.
