    OMG! Nice spelling!!

Hmm...I'd buy a Toyota (reliability, not as much power) or a Hummer (no description necessary...)! Hehehehe...

    Talking

    Spelling: Expedition, Sequoia, Land Cruiser.

I wouldn't buy one of those giant SUVs. Buy something smaller, like a Jeep WJ, Jeep KJ, Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute (not a truck), or Toyota Highlander (same, it's a glorified Camry). You'll have better economy, they cost less, and - here's the good part - can actually be easily parked in a normal parking place!
Six in a row makes it go.

How come we can't post images ?

    S T U P I D

Well, instead you can click on this link to see what he should buy:

The Ford Excretion is too big, unless you just wanna be macho and have a small *****.
I know nothing about the Sequioa, but it is one of FIVE, yes FIVE SUV's in Toyota's line. Also severely overpriced.
The Land Cruiser is made to improve your image, nothing more. And, it is also severely overpriced. I mean he will need an entire case of KY if he buys one of those.

land rovers suck. they break down all the time. they have serious drive train problems. i wouldnt get any of those suvs. get a chevy tahoe, its bigger than the toyota and ford. its reliable, has great power more power than the ford and toyota, has a standard 275hp engine and an optional 285hp version. can tow more. looks way better. handels great. is way cheaper. nice interior and very comfortable seats. give me any reason you think the tahoe sucks and i will prove you wrong.

If you're looking at smaller, more gas efficient SUVs, consider the RAV4.

you guys are fereking idiots land rovers dont break down alot its cuz the poeple who buy them only bye them so they look rich plus the dont eaven bye them the just lease them cuz their poor and that explains why they break down cuz theyr cant pay to maintain it. and if one land rover does break down its cuz the user did somthing wrong. jeeps may rule in an off road corse but ide like to see land rovers vs jeeps an a camel trophy event, then well see who breaks down

Wow, this thread is good for my post count.

OK, here is the bottom line:

I own a Jeep, therefore I think it is cool.
Your daddy owns a Land Rover, so you think it is cool.

In reality they are both pretty cool, only Jeeps are a tad cooler

ford screws everything up just look at the ford pinto lol, ok now seriously, ford over sees the designs of the landrovers and other car companys they own, if they dont like what they see in the design they change it and make it there way sometimes (most of the time) the screw it up because they want to spend less money, go figure the world revolves around money. who knows mabey im wrong no ones perfect (certainly ford says amen to that)

    Jeep vs. Land Rover

    Here's the bottom line:

My dad helps run the Jeep operation on the off-road course at a very large local outdoors show (400,000+ attendance, not some backwoods jamboree!). Two years ago, Rover had some very experienced drivers there. Three times Jeep WJs were requested to pull Rovers from the mud pit: two Discoverys, and one Defender 90. The Jeeps, driven by the local DC zone guys, never once got stuck.

It could've been a coincidence, but I doubt that.

Both Jeeps and Rovers are purpose-built for offroad, but Jeep has much more advanced 4WD systems (QuadraTrac & CommandTrac). Also, Rover has mellowed in recent years to accomodate civilian use. Jeep has too, but hasn't compromised the offroad ability (in fact, all new models are taken on the Rubicon trail, the hardest one in the US, before they are released). Besides, have you ever seen an LR in Utah? They're built for British rutted roads and trophy races, not rockclimbing or other American pasttimes.

    Jeep: First
    Rover: a close second
Six in a row makes it go.

bobrs got the right idea they both are good for what their made for its just you have to spend a bit of meny to get your jeep in that type of condition to get it to go super off road.

"looks way better". Thats an opinion bud, DONT TELL PEOPLE WHAT HEY THINK!
"way cheaper" no no no and no. Nope, wrong. Exps are the cheapest of the bunch.
"handles great" YEAH MAN TEM SUVS CAN TAKE A CORNER LIKE U WOULDNT BELEIVE. pPUH leez, get a life.
"give me any reason the Tahoe sucks and I will prove you wrong" I think youre plan just back fired
No wmy mom has an Expedition, and despite being almost 17 ft long and ahving a 45 or more ft turning circle, it not all that hard to park. SERIOUSLY! Its no Focus, but she can usually slie in a slot without backing up. USUALLY... Sometimes she baclks up yes, its big. No point in me trying to deny its a big car.
NO POWER!?!?!?! Yo bub/s weve pulled tree stumps out of the ground with the Exp. One time my mom hit it at 60 cuz a SEMI was doin 70 behind her, and the car literally LURCHED FORWARD. It was probably mostly downshift, but we were bookin! Plus, the speed limits the speed limit, A Tmaxx in an Exp would do fine, jsut a matter of gearing and how much time you have...
My family and I have gone on TWO 2,000+mile trips in the Exp and theres enough space inside to ahve 4 peoples luggages, and the right back seat folded down for a bed. Theres also(for us anyway) the dual climate control, sweet feature. Radio controls in the back, so I can be layin down listening to Metalica() or somehting and no ones complainin about having luggage to ahve under hteir legs or on their lap...
Most people dont tow that much. They buy SUVs cuz their safer and bigger. THATS IT. 18% of all SUV buyers(4x2s and 4x4s) ahve gone off road. Probably LESS tow. If so we did when we moved and the 4.6, although sluggish, made it home, go tus goin blah blah blah...
I know a Tahoe could and can do everything if not more in some areas and less in others(off roading, even with the Z71 susp. Sorry Tahoe freak, Exps got a better tranny(although less crawl ratio, oh well, score one for the Tahoe) and better tires(stock) and greater aproach and departure angles.). But we bought an Expedition and thats somehting YOU ATRE JUST OGNNA HAFTZ LIVE WITH. I dont wanna hear "Oh Tahoes are sooooo great" we got a 32 k Exp fo 22k. Now THATS a deal!
Overall Exps are sweet, despite gas milage(again stupid of me to try and say they never stop goin) and "no power cuz their heavy"(which isnt true, they keep up with Civics dont they???). Its a great car
PS Tahoe freak, we test drove Tahoes too but they were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy too expensive, EVEN USED!!!!! bull **** that theyre cheaper. BULL. SH*T.
    Stampede- pretty hopped up.

OK, here goes. It all depends on what you're after. I'm assuming you're looking for a full sized SUV, so I'll only compare the three you mentioned originally (Sequoia, Land Cruiser, and Expedition). I wouldn't recommend the Land Cruiser. It's a very nice rig, but the Sequoia is an all around improvement. Speaking of the Sequoia, I would get one if I were looking for a luxury vehicle that had light duty off road abilities. Yes, they are very capable off road, but you don't want to risk damaging it. You should have no problems with towing a normal sized boat and normal off road use, just don't go drag racing everybody. The Toyota is expensive, yes, but when it comes to resale value, it's difficult to beat almost any Toyota. I would recommend the Expedition if you were looking for a more rugged off road vehicle. Plenty of towing power if you have bigger toys than normal, and it's still a plenty comfortable ride. I wouldn't rule out the Tahoe/Yukon just yet. They are a very nice truck, and I would recommend comparing them directly to the Expedition, and not the Toyota. As for reliability issues, any new car produced today will be perfectly reliable if you maintain it properly. Any unusual quality problems can be addressed by the warrantee. You might want to compare the scheduled maintennance costs of each. As far as which one would win in a hill climb or desert rally, it really doesn't matter to most of us who would buy a $40-50k vehicle. And besides, most of those desert racers are so heavily modified there's really no point in comparing them to the production versions. Look at resale, cost of insurance, fuel efficiency, length of warrantee, towing capacity (if applicable), and take a lengthy test drive in each to judge comfort. If you go to epinions.com, you can read what owners think of their rigs. I read the reviews on my car, and kept nodding in agreement with what was said.
    You double-dogg dare me???
