Calm down, just a "friendly" (haw!) discussion.
But you're right, the makers of anything labeled "Max Wedge", "HEMI", or "440 Six Pack" can't go wrong. Except for that 243 / 3-on-the-tree incident, which is rarely spoken of in our circles.

BoBR what kiinda car do you got? and the imports dont bug mr that much it is when they "**** them out" and think that just cuz they have some rubber-band tires on there cars they think that you have automayicly lost the race but the best is when you win. and get to stuff it in there face!

I like imports, but I hate it when people (we like to call them "lamers" hehehe...) mess them up and stuff with just about every aftermarket accessory on earth without touching the engine (read Rice Boy.) My dream car is a Toyota Supra, but I wouldn't mind a Civic. It's not the power I'm after, it's the reliability, features, and economic value. You can't beat a Toyota for reliability and gas mileage!

    Cool

VW I,ve had 3 German designed cars, and I just like the road feel you get with them. If your interested, check out the 2002 GTI. 205 hp, with a 6sp trans, in a light, nimble package.
I'd like to strighten out a few curves with that.

I want a CJ-8 for my first car. If the 304 was too wimpy, I'd buy a 4.0L H.O. or 4.7L conversion kit.

my cousin is going to sell his cj8. but it doesn't run good. and when he bought it the person hit it into a tree going 4 wheeling. when you do that with CJs the whole body bends in and you cab't shut the door that good. he lives in ellensburg WA.

Have any of you ever seen a mopar before because they are better than any 200 hp jap **** car I have seen. My dad has the 3rd largest mopar show in the U.S. He has over 1,000 show cars and about 500 racers and has about everything else in it. It is called monster mopar weekend some of you may have heard of it. IT was on september 8th and 9th at Gateway international raceway in IL. But my dad just bought a dodge challenger 440 black hard top and he is getting it this saturday so when we finish it bring your jap car and try and beat us. Now everyone that knows mopar knows well win so vote on it.

yeah buddy viper5. my dad has a 440 in the making. he has keith black pistons with federal mogul rings and arp studs. its bored over alredy but i cant remember what the c.i.'s are. the crowning touches are the edelbrock 440 torker intake and the heads. the heads were made for one year only (i think 1967) and they are still in the cosmoline! (sp?) he is , i think, going to put it in a 39 plymouth coupe but he cant quite haggle the guy out of selling it. he was going to put it in a 48 plymouth coupe but he sold it it was too rotted out. p.s. the engine was put on a computer dyno and is estimasted to make 700 hp (no blower)
and if matt happenes to read this i challenge him to take his little rice burnin honda to beaver and race it cause it will blow your doors in.

how about it! you could put nitrous on it and a 1071 blower and put it in an a body car like the duster or demon and have a 9 second (or better!) car.
