HGI Yank Eliminator 6mm Bearing is what you need instead of the one you listed...

    Another Option:
Ofna Shaft Start Backplate TMX 2.5 and you'll need the HPI style shaft "rod" that you can chuck up into your drill as well. Can't find a part number for it at the moment...

You need to be careful when using a drill adapter. If the engine is flooded, you can easily bend a connecting rod. I've also seen guys grinding their engines away with a Makita instead of priming the engine or checking to see why it won't start.
Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

I use a drillstarter, it's a TigerDrive but I don't think it would work right on a Jato with the angles. I do however have the clutch all the way down, I think I use it on 3. I know if I didn't I would have 16.8v of Craftsman power bending rods left and right.

I removed the easy start and fitted the Ofna rotostart backplate, then used my drill with the HPI starter rod attached. It makes the TRX2.5 a real pig to start, I suspect a drill does not spin fast enough to start the engine up (strange). I then went back to the Traxxas easy start with no problems.

ur drill dosent have to spin that fast slower is better so u can feel if theres a prob , and as long as u set the clutch on the drill to b very soft u wont have a prob .

Trust me, you need a drill that's pretty quick. I think mines rated at 1,300 RPM and that seems to be plenty. I tryed starting it on the "Low" setting of 500 and it didn't work. Works like a champ every time now, put the end in the starter, drill full speed, cover exaust for a second, take finger off and the engines running.

The gearing on the rotstart backplate makes the engine turn over much slower than the drill speed. So if the drill turns at 1300 rpm, the engine is only turning at around 500 rpm. The easy start spins the engine much higher than 500 rpm.

The drill and Ofna backplate starting system works on all my other nitro engines, the TRX2.5 just doesn't like it.
