    total speed

    OK jato freaks,

It has come down to this. The jato is the worst thing i have ever run in the dirt, but (before you all think i hate the jato) it is the fastest and easiest 2wd r/c to drive at 72 miles an hour on the pavement.
I have made all of the aftermarket mods, not using one item that was jato spec and did not change one hole or mount that the jato came with. if you want to know more let me know.
this is not a gimmick or joke.

I believe that you believe its going 72mph.
If you refer to your Jato as "her" you may have JatoFever.

well i was expecting a few statments like that, but when you take the top off the car and wrap the front shock tower with tin foil.
it will allow a state police laser speed gun to pick up and clock a small and mostly none reflective 1/10 r/c car. i would think that since you are paying a speeding ticket based on what the gun reads, that it might be kind of accurate.

You obviously have the stock tires, and I would agree, they are terrible in the dirt. But with aftermarket tires the Jato handles great in the dirt.

well being an r/c racer you must know that the soft compound that those tires are made of don't last long on pavement or on hard packed surfaces when driven hard. so no the stock tires are not and have not been on the car since the 7th tank. i have 6 pairs of 2.2 off road tires and none of them have hooked up to my liking. but on road is a different story.

and as far as the vid to determan speed, i would have to mark
the 1/4 mile strip i run on and have a stop watch in the vid so you could figure out the distance traveled vers the elapsed time to figure out how fast i went. sounds like a school project to me!

Your thinking too hard. Just make a vid from behind the radar gun. Get the Jato and the radar gun in the same shot.
