The latest news is that only 4 bombs actually exploded, but several more have been found and deactivated by the Metropolitan Police bomb squad.

I live only a few miles away from the areas effected. All of the buses and trains have been stopped and thousands of people are stranded. I thank God that it didn't happen on a Monday or Tuesday as my wife uses the Metropolitan line (which is the line that the bombs exploded on) to go to work on those days.

Local news has reported that there were less people killed than originally thought, but I guess terrorists want to cause chaos and disruption, not necessarily death. However many have been seriously hurt.

My prayers go out to the victims and their families, and to the brave emergency services staff who are dealing with it.

This is a disgusting, cowardly attack, especially as it comes on the day of the G8 talks.

The death toll is over 50 now.

Its quit ironic how Terrorist think they have the right to kill innocent people for a beleif. And that they think they are taking over a country by bombing Buses and Subway's.

Its because terrorists are cowards. Instead of trying to solve their problems in a humane normal way, they go wild like animals and slaughter innocent people. I hope they get whats coming to them. I wish I could come face to face with these cowards and teach them a lesson. Im sorry but this type of thing makes me extremely angry!!!

I just saw that on CNN also. It's such a shame that people think that they are doing good by killing people.

Even the elections has been done since a while now so what write tell you to stay there. Leave em alone.

So you matts maxx, why Usa and Uk killed iraqies citizens for nothing ? Don't tell me usa and uk didn't killed citizen cause we saw invasion with americans and uk soldier shooting in citizen houses and we saw corpses on canada tv.

To me neither terrorism, usa-uk soldiers has any right to shoot or blow themselves up to kill anyone.

hey no one here is sayin that the war in iraq is a good thing, it saddens me that innocent people died there, as it does innocent people dieying here , i have sympathy for the innocent people in iraq, it seems here you have no sympathy for the innocent people in the Uk. In my veiw the war on Iraq was wrong, in my oppinion the bombsin the UK were wrong, two wrongs do certainly not make a right. And reading your post, seems that you feel that there was nothing wrong with these bombings, i am not saying you think they are, i am saying the way you have put the post seems like you agree with the bombers.

Good idea, but to set the record straight I was completely against the war in Iraq. I think that they are both wrong and do not support either. Unfortunately we can not just pull out of Iraq, now that the job is started it has to be finished and just as we are doing now we must train the Iraqi soldiers and police so that they can fend for themselves and protect their country.

My sympathy goes out to Iraqi and London citizens.
