    Revenge of radio shack

Ok so my sister gave me one of her old rc cars, you know the ones that are powered by 6 or 8 AA batteries. So I thought of a way to put my novak 5800 brushless motor system and hitec radio gear in it, including a fast, mg servo. I've just finished it and tested it in my basement and it has WAY too much power to be controlable past 1/8 throttle. Here are a few pics, and i have a movie of it that I'll post on RC Pics later today or whenever I find some more time.

    Enjoy!

    Tell me what you think.

Is that the stock radio shack transmission? Im amazed that it could handle a jab of SS torque, even at 8th throttle. Too bad you wont be able to get the body back on. I opened up a jada 1/10 Dub R/C to see if I could drop a stinger in. It would have been more work than I would be willing to put into it.

that thing's insane! I think a mini-type motor would have been more than sufficient for brushless. Looks awesome though. Did you have to do anything to the tranny to beef it up?

    Thanks for the replys guys!
You're pretty close Nitrotastic, I used some hot glue to better hold the "tranny" in place and a few zip ties around the motor and battery.

I have not beefed up the tranny, but I don't think I need to since the very non-grippy tires act like a loose slipper.

Ok heres the vid. Its not that great, I guess thats becasue it was taken with a digital camera.

It slides around quite a bit, and then hits a pole and the motor comes out of wack. Hopefully I can get a new vid in the next few days, since I put a bead of silicone glue around the tires it doesn't slide as much.
