When you make that switch you have to reset the ESC.
how would i do that?

if you have the XL-1, you need to take it out and adjust the nuetral adjustment screw. the manual explains how to do this. if you have a different ESC, its manual should explain how.

i dint have to reset my esc, i have the xl-1, nd when i switched to 70/30 theres was a HUGE difference, with the stinger motor on 70/30 i wooped mi lil bro's t3 with a speed gem in it
xxx-nt: peak racing .12, gpm blue/yellow shocks, proline dirt hawg 2's, rpm slingshots, all graphite, etc etc; e-pede: razorback quad body, masher 2k's on agaitators, soon to be all aluminum
then you've got one freaky XL-1. i don't know how you managed to not have to change anything, cause when you switched to 70/30, it should have been going in reverse. and switching to 70/30 shouldn't make a huge difference in speed, it should only give you more precise throttle control. (and yes, i have tried this)Originally posted by e-pedetk

I have also. It's true. I don't really see much of a difference in speed, but the throttle control is more "fine tuned".Originally posted by rustlerbum

i could go to both with all 3 escs ive had and not have to reporgram esc and i did it with the stinger and the speed gem 19t arcornite motor
and to me i didnt notice any diffrence in the power from 70/30 and 50/50
There shouldn't be any difference in power. It simply allows for finer throttle control in the forward direction.
