I wonder if non-pullstart engine mounts will be available for those who want to use non p/s engines in their Jato's (for racing)?

the jato doesnt have a pullstart
Either way, why would you need to change the engine mounts? Slayden has an OS 12 in his race truck, and there's already a slot on the bottom for bump starters.

1. The Jato doesn't have a pullstart but the TRX does have the EZ-Start, which raises the engine the same amount as one with a pullstart.
2. Non-pullstart engine mounts typically locate the engine slightly lower for a lower CG. The fact that there is a flywheel opening is irrelevant.
I don't fully understand #1.I don't see why an engine with a pull or ez start couldn't sit just as low as one without. Is there some reason you would have to put it higher???

the back plates on the pullstart and ezstart are bigger than the ones of a non pullstart motor.
Run hard or get out of my way.
http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitr...sis-bottom.jpg The motor looks about as low as it can get.it has cut outs for the fly wheel and p/s ez/start.Originally posted by Ragamuffin
