take a good look at the car. I see no reason why it would be higher then 340. Plastic Pipe, No fail safe, Plastic shocks (but good ones), Plastic Driveshafts, Lots of plastic, very little aluminum, stock radio, trx 2.5 with NO blue cooling head (but has porting of 2.5r), no sway bards, its all basic but designed perfectly.

Traxxas is def trying to keep this car on the low cost side.

380 would be a rip off, for $40 more I can get a revo at my LHS!, Which has wayyyyy more things to it then the jato.

I was just told this by a Traxxas Rep minutes ago:
"The price has not yet been set. It will be in line with Nitro Stadium truck pricing though."

    A RC10GT Plus on tower is $309.

Even if it does end up as much as the revo, they are two different classes and handle totally different. It all what you want to drive, i will prolly sell my RC10GT an get a Jato if my funds allow it.

Is this what you're talking about? If you are, I wouldn't bid on it. You're only bidding on a preorder spot, not an actual truck. I know it says that the price of the truck will be deducted from the amount you bid, but you could still get ripped off. I wouldn't trust it if I were you.

yeah they could decide that the "final price" is $1000
i would not do something like that with a seller that only has 27 feedback.

In that case it would probably be no more then 340 because thats how much a s-maxx is and a rustler is 300. Id guess 340, I think traxxas knows that once they come out with the jato no one else is going to buy the rustler unless the price drops.

lets see here, about a month until april? how long did it take the revo to be listed on tower after release?

I am perty sure it will be around $320 because like people have said they are using the 2.5(with 2.5r porting) composite pipe, and again the horrid traxxas TQ 2 channel radio, they are trying to make a new truck at a reasonable price.
but first hop ups im getting are, new raido for sure! sway bars, revo head, and revo alum. shock caps

Maybe they will drop the price of the Rusty and bring the Jato in at around $320-340.....Kind of like them dropping the Tmaxx price when the Revo came out. I would say above $350 they wont sell all that many.

I hope Traxxas will decide on a price soon so the big online hobby stores can post the JATO on their sites. This will allow us to back order one.

I bet they're going to keep the price to themselves for a while for that reason. I mean look at when the revo was on back order. Traxxas was getting constant complaints from the customers because of the delay that was unexpected.
