    Uhh, what about the Radio?

In the specs all it says is that it comes with a Traxxas TQ radio. What about the servo's, and does it come with an RX battery pack?

Im most sure it comes with:

    TQ Transmitter
    2 Channel receiver
    2055 steering and throttle servos
    Alkaline dry cell battery holder

The 5 cell receiver pack is optional.
    Got nitro?

I noticed on one of the pages the DC RX adapter was considered an Accessory, but no signs of the RX Charger.

I would hope the future Traxxas models will be like the Revo and include the charger and battery from now on. I think this is a really nice touch and more prone to selling off the shelves since it's more "RTR" and then when people add failsafes ect. they are good to go and don't need "Anything Else" for awhile.

    Ok scratch my thoughts...

"Jato can accept AA dry cells or rechargeable receiver packs. If you use a rechargeable pack such as the Traxxas RX Power system, a handy charge jack has been built into the chassis top plate."

Radio gear is probably going to be the same as a NR. Would be nice to see a 2055 steering it though I doubt it will be included.

Well, if it comes out with 2018 steering servos, a non rechargeable battery set, a 2.5 instead of the 2.5r, and no aluminum pipe, I'd kind of start to think that something is going on. There must be a supply and demand to get the old stuff out like the 2.5s and get the 2018s out too. The RX pack costs 10 dollars for traxxas to upgrade and it saves their costumers hundreds. I hope they go rechargeable!

The 2.5 is the 2.5r, they have the same porting now, but the heads are differnt.

    ^ What he said.

I doubt their trying to get rid of "old" products in a newly designed car. As for all the other things, people were hoping the car they saw from rc car action was going to be the production model but in-fact it's believed to be Slayden's. All those things were taken out to keep the price low, im sure of it.

It doesn't matter if it comes with the cast head or the new CNC head, They're both too small and not suffiecent enough to cool the 2.5

I think the stock head is adequate for most situations. I haven't really had any temperature issues with the 2.5 in my T-Maxx, and the engine won't work as hard pushing the smaller truck around. With the JATO reaching 55 mph in less than 6 seconds, you won't be running full throttle for long periods of time - and there will be more air moving over the head because of the faster speeds.
Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

What we need is an "ARTR"(almost ready to run) with no servo and radio with some upgrade included to sell it at the same price than a RTR.A lot of people have a good radio or don't like the TQ,personnally I have a Jr XS3 and it will be the radio I will use with my future JATO.I have already a brand new TQ3 and receiver that nobody want to buy(was on my REVO)and soon I will have a TQ2 and receiver that nobody will want too.I know that Traxxas don't make kit but at least they should offer ARTR.

Ya, I agree with you tntpower! I have a radios system and servos already. Give me some other upgrades, that would be sweet! But won't happen.
Millenia in coming, the modern age is here. It sanctifies the future, yet renders us with fear. So many theories, so many prophecies, What we do need is a change of ideas.
