The home page says april, so you should put your name on the list at your lhs asap if you want to get one on the first shipment. People have been saying around $320 for the price. Seems a little low for such a nice truck.

Other people say it will go for around $320. Someone called traxxas and they said $320. I personally think it will be somewhere around $375-$400. The 6 year old rustler sells for $300, so the new truck has to sell for around $100 more. Look at the revo. The t-maxx sells for $375 and the revo sells for $469 because it is such a new model with the newest technology. We will have to wait until April to know for sure.

the t-maxx price dropped after the revo came out.

it would make sense that old technology would come down in price to make room for the new, so possibly a price drop for the rusty?

plus there is no battery pack or charger included and the pics show a 2018 servo on the site. it looks as though it will be a great vehicle, but in need of a few upgrades to make it real world race ready.

I believe this is because they are trying to keep the price at a minimum. I could be wrong, but why else would they not include these things with the truck? Just my .02.

Exactly, I'm not trying to get down on them. I like the idea of something with that much new technology at a reasonable price.
$320 is right on what I would expect to pay with the pictured accessories.

I was initially confused about the lack of a 2.5r until it was explained in another thread by a traxxas employee that the port changes have been applied to all 2.5's. The only thing different now is the cooling head.

Really! Thats tight. When I was looking at the specs of my S-maxx it said Modified 2.5 and I was wondering what that meant. Now I know, it really has a 2.5r in it.

That's correct, but you can get a pack as an upgrade.

Traxxas has those upgrade kits now, and this will likely use one of those two pack formats. (flat or hump) If you already have a pack in your revo or t-maxx, it will be compatable. The question would be then....which pack does the JATO use?

it has 2.8 inch rims and tires on it. But traxxas says that you can bolt 2.2 rims on tere no problem.. here is the quote

" Jato can also accept standard ROAR legal 2.2 rims and tires. Just bolt them on!"

right from the traxxas jato details
