I've never seen any of those people on the forum at all. I find it hard to believe that there are only five or six out of the thousands of members here.

Think about it... If a girl has a RC car problem she gets a guy to fix it for her.

Pwnagest=Gamer talk for Ownage now-a-days, at least in Counter-Strike.... So if you don't game and don't know what ownage means it means I pretty much just kick butt

    Tervuren:
Jeezzzz man and that is so not true about guys fixing RC problems. I fix my trucks myself and do rebuilds and everything, actually I find it fun fixing and hopping up my truck.

This was my first time actually posting on Traxxas Alley, I hang out on the Revo section cuz well I have a Revo and don't normally check anywhere else.

There are always exceptoins, but it is likely to be the case in many instances. I know a girl who doesn't just enjoy racing, but loves to race, they are rarer, but out there. (Not talkign just RC racing here).

I personaly love to race anything I am able to, and I like working on my RC's also.

The amount of girls invovled in RC's is much higher thne I think most think, but the percentage that acutaly post about them here is probably smaller then the percentage of guys who have them and post about them.

Actualy, some of most brilliant female racing driver's were in the 70's. In the 70's, you had the only time a girl/women has scored points in F1. Sadly the race ended shortly, so the race counted for half points. Lella Lombardi had 1/2 points. Marie Claude Beaumaont(SP) would be another to mention, unfortunately, many of the teams at le-man's hadn't counted onthe fuel consumption during the pace lap, and thus her's, and other's cars ran out of fuel on lap 10(that or it was 11). You also can't forget the all girl team running a Porsche 917 at Daytona. I'm pretty sure Lella was a part of that, but can't remember on Marie. I beleive they were taken out of the running my the car failing, but did ok until then. Lella was also invovled in Nascar as well at daytona after the endurance race.

However, girls are not the same as guys. There are some things a girl can do that I just can't do. And it can also go the other way around. There are differences, and it should be that way. Not that I don't think a girl can enjoy racing/car's, quite the other way, I wish more did.

I do not beleive girls in general will reach the same level as guys will n racing. Note the in general, that doens't mean a few may get to the top.

I woul like to add, if anyone has watched Herbie goes to Monte Carlo, if anyone rembers Diane screaming and she says sometihng along the lines of, "People say women are supposed to be secretaries and..." which I find funny, the job of being a secretary/typist was primarily a job for guys that women took over. Hehe.
