slipper clutch adjustment
I've recently purchased a Nitro Rustler. I'm having a little trouble with adjusting the slipper clutch (I melted my last spur gear). Can anyone inform me of the proper way to adjust a slipper clutch? It's a 70 tooth.

Tighting the nut all the way then back off 1/2 turn for dirt or 1/4 for pavement good luck

okay, i tried it. i had to do a lot of things. first, i realized that my throttle servo was hooked up backwards. that might explain why i burnt the brake up during first use. i replaced the brake (still with the servo backwards) and the next thing that happened whas the spur gear meltdown. the cogs were gone on the gear, and the innerbushing was melted to the inner radius of the sprocket. reconnected the servo correctly, and replaced the original spur gear (70 tooth) with a new one (72 tooth). loosened the motor mounts and replaced the spur. car is still sluggish on take off. i think i may have everything else adjusted correctly. even did the paper trick with th e gear mesh...wow...
