    Question Body Mounts

The rear body mount seems to bend and break alot and I was thinking wether or not to make wooden body mounts out of a stronger type of wood. I like to bash a lot more than I like to race and I was wondering if this would be a good idea or not? I know that it is good to have some flex to the mounts but im tired of them bending and breaking.

    Have you tried RPM mounts?
2.5 T-Maxx, almost all aluminum. Made 90% of my E-Maxx with the rest, Gorilla chassis, RPM A-Arms, promatch 7cell GP3300s. Soon to be...Hitec HSC-5998 servo, HV-Maxx, Big Joe tires...

rpm all the way, and with all body mounts, set the body low. this is better on the mounts and body, it also lowers your center of gravity a bit. i've never broken a single body mount. oh yeah, w/ rpm's you have to replace the shock towers too.

From Dayton, Cincinnati, or Columbus, OH? Then check out CRCRC, indoor track in Columbus. www.crcrc.com . Also check out www.ohionitro.com ... Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting aloud, "I lived life like my E-Maxx".

I think its good for the towers to bend...it absorbs the impact saving your more expencive parts such as shocktowers or bulkheads. If your body posts are not broken, i suggest you just you bend them back to normal and keep them. The rpm material is strong, yet it can bend/flex, so that a good body post. If you ever decide to get the ue shock towers, i think you should buy the ue body post as well because you can bend them 90 degrees, 40 times at very cold temps (i think it was like 0 f degree) without them snapping.
