e-maxx's and winter?

i currently drive a sportmaxx which will shortly be winterized because we just had a huge storm...but i jumped into the hobby way too quick and i think the nitro requires more maitnece than i want to give it.. so i'm considering selling and buying an E-maxx... should i do it? i don't want to invest much more into my truck if i'm going to sell it
