Dyeable Wheels?

Does anyone know if the stock white wheels that came with my Electric Rustler are "dyeable" like some HPI and RPM wheels?

Yes, they are. You can dye them using RIT brand fabric dyes. Lots of cool colors are available. I've never tried it - but read lots of people who have.

Dying your wheels is not too difficult but it can be quite messy. You will need tongs and an old pot that is ok to ruin and lots of rags or paper towels. You will also need dye in the color of your choice. You can get plastic dye from your hobby shop. You can also get Rit dye at your grocery store as a liquid or powder (use the powder). Fill the pot with enough water to cover all 4 wheels (they must be dyed at the same time to be the same color) and bring it to a boil. Add the dye and stir the pot until it is well mixed. Turn the stove off and as soon as the pot stops boiling, carefully add all 4 wheels. The amount of time you leave them in the dye will determine how dark they are. You can always make them darker but you can never make them lighter. About 30 seconds will give you a nice shiny black set of wheels.
Be very careful not to get the dye on anything you do not want to permanently color (floors, counters, hands, pets, etc...).

I am sure I'll hear allot of s*#% down there...there seem to be allot of people who can't deal with someone racing 9 years and winning 52 races! Gee, let's take a "veteran" of 16 years like Dale Jarrett, 24 wins...but nobody calls him a whiner when he complains about getting bumped in the turn!
I am interested in seeing that Dodge built by Jeff's old crew chief though!
