wut do you guys think??? ive looked in what people say there gearing is, but i see no liek 12t motor or 8t or anything lower than 15. why is that????

well first off both those motors are right on the edge as far as being able to gear correctly.normaly its recomended to stay at or above 14t but being those are both hand wound motors you usauly can get away with gearing them 1 or 2 pinion teeth larger than normal recommendations(2 teeth under number of motor turns).the reasoning behind the gearing rule is the smallest pinion commonly available is 12 teeth and the largest spur you can fit with the cover on is a 90t.but gearing depends on many variables so saying what exactly the proper gearing will be for you is almost impossible.its a trail and error sort of thing.
i have and would suggest the d5-6 14t.great motor with all kinds of torque.in most conditions i gear mine 14/87.which gives me all kinds or room to play around with gearing.
as far as capacitors go these motors have them built in so theres no need to solder them on.

hope that helps alittle and good luck.

    From your 6-turn motor thread:
