motor & batts temps

took out the trusty pede today & desided to check the temps on the batt & motor .. the motor is the stock stinger temp was 135 on to the batts they where 95 venom 1800 . esc was 86 since it was 85 out today is this normal .. also gearing is 78/20

I'm surprised they're that low. You're definitely in the clear if those were at the end of the run.

My motor is usually about 160&deg, my batteries 150&deg or more, and my ESC 135&deg or more. I'm not running the same setup, though.

cool i like to be in the safe range .. it has a lrp f1 esc in it next step is a 15 turn orion motor .. or what else is god for the pede .. motor wise getting close to 15 min run times

I use a temp gun from www.tempgun.com. They recently discontinued my model (which is the same as the Duratrax Flashpoint, which can be found at Tower, Stormer, etc.), and replaced it with another.

$25 should get you a dependable temp gun.

Radioshack seems to have them on a never ending sale. Picked up mine at RS for 30.00

My batts are normally 160-175. Right at the edge of safety unfortunately. They seem to be holding up okay though. I might have just toasted one of my favorite packs. The one I set the 7-cell speed record with (50.9mph)

i use the radio shack ir temp gun it cost me 40.00 with the battery .. i use it on a daily basis from my pede to to maxx & savage etc. many cars in stock .. don't tell the wife .. she'll kill me
