My Tec is already way too fast with just the 2.5 in it. I can't imagine what it would be like with an 18 in it.
For the dirt: T-Maxx, Fantom .18, all RPM. RC10T3. RC10GT. For the street: Power Racing XR-80, 1/8th scale, W/stock .27. Mugen MTX-3 W/O.S. 18TZ. Yokomo Gt-4 W/Novarossi CT12. For the water: Traxxas Blast deep vee boat. Radio: Airtronics M8 with the Spektrum system.
alas the need for speed and new parts as a result of speed lol

You need any SG style crankshaft i beleive.
OS 15 CVRX is a pretty good engine, but it doesnt have the top end power like the trx2.5, but is close enough for most.
They do run extremely well though, and hold a tune real good.
Im no expert. i just play one on the TRX forums
I've had great luck with the Fantom .18 w/ 42k rpm redline it really winds out..
i've narrowed it down to the .18 fantom or epic .........can't decide which one yet .......did you have to make a lot of mods for the fantom to fit

All I had to do is to grind on the Motor Mount alittle to remove 2 tabs and use a new exhaust header. When you are ready let me know and I'll look up the part # that I used. The new header will be held on with a singlw wraparound spring.
Header to use with Fantom FR18 is here. Its a Dynamite 6599.
Well, the need for more speed continues - I'm taking the Fantom FR18 out and I want to install a big block .21 Hyper 8-port.
Does anyone have any pointers?
Don't use the stock belts. Try to find better diffs.
Knowledge is useless unless one can pass it on.
New Era Models makes 6mm belts and I'm using Ball Bearing Diffs.
