    Reccomend an ESC & motor?

I got my Stampede a couple months ago and I'm thinking about getting an ESC & a new motor along with it.
Anyone have some suggestions for a reliable ESC? (Not too pricy at the moment, I'm short on cash)
and a motor.. may maybe a 15-17 turn motor. =]

    is $80 "too pricy"?

if not the gm racing v6r is what i run...12 turn limit, 10 cell limit, very small, easy to use...great lil esc

you could look a the v4r too...i think its down to 14 turns, same cell limit, and all the other cool stuff...its around ^65-70

they are under "GM" over on www.stormerhobbies.com

from what i read on here the duratrax streak is good and only $40...i would never use it b/c it doesnt have reverse...you couldnt give me an esc w/out reverse...if im going to race ill get one with reverse lock out...for the basher reverse is necessary IMO...if you bash and never used reverse, then you dont bash hard enough

dont waste your money unless you have another vehicle that you can use it with...in the pede you shouldnt go below 12 turns (at the most, or least ...) and its a very good idea to stay 13-14 turns and above...the super rooster is EXTREME OVERKILL in a pede...it would be better to get a cheaper esc that will work best in the pede and get a better, more powerful, longer lasting motor

now if you have another vehicle that can handle less than a 12 turn motor (without damaging it) and you need a new esc for it, then i would say ya...but im guessing thats not the case (please correct me if i am wrong)

the speed gem pros are recommended alot, and ive used the 14 and 17 turn versions...i liked them

i think the atomic force (thats what its called right?) is being thrown around alot recently...and its cheaper than the sgp line

if you want to go all out you can go with the d6...ive also read good stuff about the team orion revolution motors...

you really want to try and stay around 14 turns for the lowest you shoul go...some people do well with 12 and 13 turns, but if you are somewhere that it gets hot i would stay with 14...my 14 worked great

dont forget about gearing, thats going to play a big role in how the motor performs

Yeah I know what bushless means.. But I saw that sometimes they are banned from racing, and I'm planning on starting racing at my local track.
