Question Should I even bother studying for permit?

I started reading through some of the manual and it got boring FAST. Its like all comman sence, plus I have driven since I was like 12. But it somewhat scares me that 2 of my friends failed it because they never driven or opened up the manual

what do you have to study for it

I didnt and got a 100% on the final drivers ed tedt for the permit

drivers ed was easier than hunters ed and huners ed was the easiest class I have ever taken

study for about 15 min right before you do take it

Trust me study it. Its better to be safe than sorry!

I just got mine last week, and almost all of it was just signs, lines, and braking. But they will hit you with some weird questions. Just take an hour and go over the things you feel are important..

I am not sure about where you live, but here in Vermont the permit test is common sense. We also have a "practice" test that you can take online at the DMV site that "coincidentally" is 95% the same as the actual permit test, complete with four different variantions. I just took that right before I went for my test and only got two wrong.

One of the questions that I got wrong was how far ahead a headlight on a bicycle has to go at night, or something like that. Even though I have my license now, I still don't know the answer.

So, if you know anything about the road (knowing which side to drive on counts) I would skip the book studying.
It sure seems like sense is no longer common.

Well i will be studying for my permit. Because id rather be safe than sorry. i see that you are in the poconos, im from state college. in the pa drivers manuel they have a link to a site that has some questions that you can answer; and some are actually on the drivers test. look it up, some of the questions were quite hard. I will be getting my permit this week.

p.s., study hard, or else you might have to go back in and try it again.

I studied about twenty minutes a day five days a week for two weeks. Of course, I was doing that during school reading but I was more than prepared for the test.

Traxxas alley is for off topic conversation. Non-rc stuff. As long as it is clean, I think you could post anything in here (well, almost anything).

I'd study for it. I looked at my friends book..and there were some questions that you just wouldn't know off the top of your head. And I see way too many fools on the road these days, maybe if some more of them payed attention in drivers ed they would have a clue.

Look over the book, make sure you know all the material... and you will do fine. Good luck

I have 12 months of supervised driving, three less if I take lessons. Then I have 2 years on my N )new driver) before I can even try to get my full class 5.
