    Plastic Dip ????

I have read that a few people have used plastic dip to coat their electronics, and I am interested in doing it to mine when i pick up my brand new VEE today.(finally !!!) But I have been to two hardware stores and one hadn't even heard of it before. I don't know what hardware stores are around you guys, but if you could please let me know where you guys got yours. I have been to Home Depot and Rona. (neither places had it) I plan on using the baloons but i want to be extra carefull with it, so any help/ suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks guys......

You can also use liquid electrical tape, available at most auto parts stores. I would HIGHLY recommend the DP-270 treatment, that completly fixed my damp electronics issues for me.

    Hope this helps!

Thats right .... the 3m DP-270 Conformal Epoxy treatment. I ran my boat the last 4 days without ANY problems due to getting the electronics wet, and it was fairly easy to do.

I bought mine from an electrical supply house here in town, but I think that you can order it from offshore electrics.

    Hope this helps!

As an after thought, everyone I talked to when trying to buy it referred to it as "Potting Epoxy".

    Good luck!
