    I love it, got one today, but there are no brakes!

    So i got my used pede with esc in the mail today and was driving it, but there are NO BRAKES I have to coast to a stop. What do i do....!
    Didn't learn the first time. No more 2nd chances.

    Reset the esc with the brake position not all the way foward.

    k, ty and how do you reset the esc? (i am new to electric, usually run nitro, tmaxx)

    there should be a button on the esc, but there are different types of escs, which one do you have?

    traxxas xl1 has no brakes
    Stampede, novak 5800, rpm bearing carriers, alum idler,steel output yokes, masher 2k,seb widen frt end, Rustler w/ novak 5800 on the way

    tap reverse when u wanna stop,careful not to strip tranny and spur gears

    Just apply reverse a little to slow it down. Don't jam into full reverse, as this will most certainly strip gears sooner or later.
    Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

    I guess the reverse doesnt work. Can I get help? Sorry as this sounds like a newb question, I aaint a newb, been into the tmaxx 4 a year, just havent done electric since 7 years ago when i was 7

    Then the ESC is possibly bad. I'd contact the fella who sold it to you.

    doent the xl1 have a lil set screw to turn to set nuetral position,between forward and reverse,,,acerr prob right,,he knows alot more

    xl1 has no 'reset' per say,take it out and on the bottom are lil holes. Inside are lil screws to set nuetral position ,,is there 2, cant remember

    I am doing a new motor esc combo. But the motor has black/red wires and the esc has white/blue, so how should i put them 2gether?

    black= battery -
    red= battery +
    blue= motor -
    white= motor +

    Which I-speed is it? You can probably download the manual so you know what you're doing.
