there are a couple of guys here who race at their local clubs every once in a while but no real success. if your interested in racing get a xxxnt or an rc10gt.

i race. and i do good. i have carbon fiber rear shock tower, upper chassi. i have a pullstart but i use a starter box.. i have a Hitec HS645MG servo for steering. duratrax shocks in the rear(DTXC9004). Bowtie tires in the rear, stock in the front. and the 2.5 engine! i got 6th place out of 25 people last year, and racing starts in 2 weeks and i will race again this year. last year i was the only rustler, everyone else had team losis or RC10 gt's. and dont think they are bad drivers, because its hard competition at some times.

I race also. With the money i get for graduationg i'm outfiting with a complete carbon fiber set. I run mostly stock parts (darn things wont break) however i run RPm arms all the way around that help keep my proline gladiators planted. (i know not many people race with them but i'm on a budget. Besides... they throw good roost). I do fairly well. The starting ramp is my favorite part. smoking everyone else. lol.
