    Thumbs up Tuning...Tuning...Tuning.

OK. Just got a Rustler in the mail I got off E-Bay. I picked it up for 95 dollars because the seller listed it as "Engine won`t run." So I put everything back to the factory settings, slap the EZ Start from my old sport on it (Came with pull start) And guess what? Fired right up. Runs better than the two .15s I have. Lesson? Whenever you think it "must be broken" go back to the basics. I now have a nitro Rustler(running perfectly) with the radio and some hop ups from the original owner for 95 dollars.

    Score!

I have to agree. The emphasis on tuning can not be made enough. And, if things don't seem right at the baseline values, then something else is wrong. I think I might have a leak in my fuel or pressure system, because at 4 turns HSN (2.5 engine) it seems to be a little on the lean side. Idle wavers and is inconsistent. I already flushed out my needle valve. Carb seals are good (I replaced the lower O-ring when I last removed the carb), backplate should be nice and tight (but I'll check that as well). The fuel tubing has been on there for a couple seasons, it's probably past time to replace it anyway.

That's kinda what it acts like. I'll definitely do a leak test on the fuel system.
