    Antenna replacement help

    My E-Maxx's antenna has broken off at the end of the plastic support rod (there used to be about 4-6" of antenna wire hanging off the end). Anyone know where I can get a replacement antenna and how to replace it? Can I just use a particular type of plain wire? I can't see an easy way to disconnect it at the base - do I have to open the receiver and disconnect it from inside?

    Easiest place to get a replacement is from your local hobby shop, assuming you have one nearby. It's a common item they sell for a couple bucks. You have to open the receiver case carefully and be able to solder, or ask them and they might be able to do it for you.

    If the antenna wire just snapped in half and I still have both halfs is there any problem with just soldering it back together? Probably a dumb question but just want to be sure
    E-Maxx owner as of 5/27/03
