    shock Q

I have had my stampede for a little over three months now and my shocks are in need of some dire help. I just purchased some aluminum shock caps because i am a big jumper and was wondering what oil/spring combo would work well with big jumps without losing much handling on the track. But i am mostly a basher so.... The trucks weight is stock so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx

    I would go with a progressive set-up

Use your stock springs for the bottom three inches of the shock, then use some really stiff spring for the last inch of spring. This way you don't loose your ride characteristics, but your shocks will be less prone to bottoming out on big jumps.

I think what Cubman means is use onroad springs that are stiff on the top and then put on the stock springs on the bottom.

Those are Losi 1" 40.0 rate springs on top of Losi 2.5" 4.1 rate springs.

    Question

Do you just stack those on the shock or is there a spacer between the springs?

Between the springs there's a top spring retainer ring from the stock shocks.

That setup looks really sweet and all... but im kinda low on cash right now so i just went to the lhs and got 35wt. for the front and 60wt. for the rear. Also got aluminum shcock caps and rebuilt the shocks. it'll work for now...

I have stock shocks with alum. caps and a RPM spacer on my pede and I was wondering what would be a softer spring that would fit on the front and another for the rear shocks
