    Spline axles suck....cvd's?

Hello everyone. I keep breaking spline axels, not a ton, but enough to be annoying and expensive. I was wondering if cvd's are a worthwhile investment. I have heard of people breaking them as well though. I dont run a strong motor, just a dynamite .12spd. But it's geared pretty low for torque. I've never twisted a shaft, just break the spine axels. ANy thoughts.

How'd you never twist them? I always twisted them when i ran the spline axles. That was my only real problem. They'd twist enough for the u-joint to fall out. It seems like you'd have to run it pretty hard to break a CVD.

I dont know how they never twisted. I ran the truck fairly often for like 2 years. Probably about 3 gallons or so. I used to jump that thing like crazy too. 6-7 feet off the ground, full throttle about 20 feet long. Crazy I never broke a shaft, Just the axels. Too bad they dont offer metal spine axles, It twists of out the plastic housing. I dont have a powerful motor though. A dynamite .12 and stock tires, it spins em and doesnt wheelie much, so thats why they held strong I guess.

is this the piece your breaking?
this part may work because the traxxqs electric driveshaftrs are the same as the nitro, im pretty sure. i know for sure the axle is the same size, but then again im not familiar with the street sport
