Question Help from those who run Mtroniks ESC...

anyone got the set-up instructions? I need it for my new 'Pede, and I've lost mine for my Eco 20. I guess that all Mtroniks basically setup the same, so any instructions are welcome.

    Thanks!

From the paper it came with:
    1. plug batt to esc
    2. press button; if not pressed in 2 seconds, old settings set
    3. pull trigger when green LED lights
    4. release trigger so red LED lights
    5. push trigger to reverse position
    6. release trigger
    7. drive

Remove pinion from motor (or disconnect)

Plug in battery, and within 2 seconds -press the setup button. (this stores the neutral postion)

The Green LED will now flash. Pull trigger to full throttle and press set button again. This stores the throttle high point. If light continues to flash, you may need to flip the ch2 servo reversing switch and start over.

The Red LED should now flash. Push trigger to full brakes and push set button. This sets the throttle low point, and completes setup. re-install pinion, or re-connect motor and have fun!

I've gotta learn to type faster lol!

edit: actually, there are differences to the setup routines that were posted. It is probably because M-Troniks changed the software in the microcontroller chip. The setup I listed was for my SportRV. Try both ways and let us know what works for you!

-remember to remove the pinion or disconnect the motor, skid marks on carpeting/linoleum cannot be removed.....don't ask....-

lol, I just propped my truck up with wheels...(don't have a real "stand" yet)
edit: hmm..the instructions I posted about were actually for a Tempo, but I assumed it was the same. If yours were for the Eco 20 then don't listen to me Beeni

I'm using my second reciever, the one not on my 4x4, and I'm begining to think it isn't working. I've had this problem before, only with the OTHER reciever... ugh! darn.

NEway, thanks again! I'll try to make sure my radio works first,

how old is the ESC? They changed the set up process slightly lately. They now dont have a switch, and will not work until the radio is switched on. could try that i spose

Mine's not too old. It just goes right to the Red LED though, it seems to be messed up... Wonder why?

That red LED might mean something, but my manual doesn't tell me what. Make sure you have the servo and everything hooked up, that your batts are good, and that you don't have it plugged in backwards.

Make sure you press that set button right away. My SportRV will flash both red and green LED's when you first power up - this is when you should press "set" to initialize the routine.

I'm guessing that a long time ago when it drove my Baja King in water it messed up reciever #2.

No sevo or anything, so I'll try my receiver on my 4x4.
I'll let you guys know how it goes.
    Thanks!

Well, I plugged in my old reciever, set it up, and got it working. So then I plugged it in with my "new" reciever and "new" transmitter(about 7 months old), and viola! It works on both of my recievers now. I'll be running two 'Pedes in no time! yay!

    Thanks again!

do you have to disconnect the motor or take the pinion off, i skipped that and cant get my motor to spin, but it steers. just wasted $40 for nothing!
Look in the sky it's a bird, no it's a plane. (Heroic voice) No it's a stampede going off a homemade 7 foot kicker ramp at 40mph!
