huh for some reason i thought it would be faster. What about putting a bigger motor in it. A 3.3 in a nitro vee would be crazy has any one ever done that.

The nitro vee runs in the 25-30 range with a good prop and a good tune. A few people have put 3.3's in them, but the hull is no designed to handle that power and it becomes very unstable.
I tried being reasonable, I didn't like it.

I think a 2.5 is the biggest engine I'd run in a Vee. The Pro .15 properly tuned can supposedly cavitate the stock prop though so you'd need a much better one to handle a 2.5. Also, the 2.5/3.3 is a rear exhaust engine so you'd have to get a different exhaust for it. With a 2.5 in it it should do 30 or close to.

For what it's worth, things seem faster out on the water. My Villain EX probably does around 18mph, and that's plenty for me. Now if my Stampede went 18mph all of the time, I dunno... things are very different out on the water.

And you can be sure that the Nitro Vee will smoke that Radio Shack boat of yours!

Im sure it would lol. Things do seem faster on the water I thought it would go faster because it looks fast in the video. I have a real boat and when your going 30 it seems much faster.

Yeah, it does seem like your going faster on the water. My full size boat does about 50 and it seems alot faster. I used to have an RC boat that would do 45 and it was almost out of control unless you were on pretty calm waters.
