    Cool hi

I have the Traxxas TRX 2.5 engine.. Here is my whole list of mods on my 4-tec.

Hop ups I have on my 4-tec:
    1. HPI wheels and Tires (I use my Traxxas stock wheels for racing)
    2. Traxxas aluminum tuned pipe
    3. Megatech air filter
    4. Powerline aluminum shocks
    5. Golden Horizons cooling head
    6. Venom fail safe
    7. Venom speed meter
    8. Ofna aluminum fuel filter
    9. Traxxas pro ball differentials
    10. Traxxas graphite rear shock tower
    11. Traxxas graphite rear brace
    12. Traxxas graphite tie bar
    13. Hot bodies Roto start
    14. 2 Protoform Acura RSX type-s bodies, 1 blue and 1 silver…Also I have a 350Z body
    15. Green fuel line and antenna tube
    16. Front and Rear sway bar kit

The cooling head, pro ball differentials, and the tuned pipe give me a little more speed. Also I put the roto start on the it is lighter then the ez start.

i used to clock 60kph (about 35 - 40mph) regularly with my 4Tec when it had the other engine (pro.15) at my local racetrack.. it has optional spur gears, and would only wind out about 3/4 in second gear down our main straight because the straight is short...
    (probably about 50 foot long)
i havent clocked it yet with my trx2.5 though..

i use a personal sports radar.. it is designed to measure a hockey puck, baseball, golf ball etc travelling at up to 120mph / 200kph so it works perfect for an RC because they are larger + easier to clock..
Im no expert. i just play one on the TRX forums

Thats cool, I want one, where did you put the magnet and other thing for it? All you need is different gearing and you will be flying faster. This is the possibly the first person I believe about telling their speeds.

I personaly use a GPS to test speed. But this Venom part intrest me if it is accurate. how hard is it to move from R/C to R/C or is it best left in just one. Right now I just zip tie my gps to the front shock tower to run speed test.
I use a Etrex Garmin - very accurate...
But if this Venom part could just be left in it would be cool to always be able to check the speed .....
