    Tranny Problem

Hey guys, it seems that project 2 speed was a failure, and i ran into too many problems. But neway. I installed my stock tranny in, and i was running it, and then the car slowed down, and whenever i revved the car didnt move. So i went up to it, and i revved it and i saw the spur gear and clutch bell moving fast, the tires were not spinning. So i opened up the tranny completely, and none of the gears were stripped, so i put it back together. Then i started it up, and it ran ok for half the tank, and then the same problem happened, and only one of the axles was spinning this time, and the car was barely moving. What could possibly be the problem? I tightened the nut on the spur gear, and loosed it the amt indicated, and the yokes are tight, but still problems.

I thought I fried a diff a while back but it was only my rear wheel that had worked loose. LOL Of course you said your yokes were tight so that must not be your problem. Did you check to see if the little plastic nut thing that fits into your rear wheel isn't stripped? One of mine stripped on my left rear wheel last week. Hope this helps...

When you took apart the tranny did you take apart the differential to see if the gears were all ok? Most likely you damaged the gears in the differential if you didn't check that already. If thats ok, check the wheel hexes to make sure they have rounded out.
