    2 speed?

Hi guys. I am from the Maxx and Pede forums. I have a buddy who wants a 2.5 Rustler and he asked me a question about it that I didn't know so I told him that I had the perfect place to find the answer.

He asked if the 2.5 Rustler was a 2-speed. I have a T-Maxx and do not know much about the Rustler. I told him that I don't think that it is. If not, is there a way to make it a 2-speed? Is there a need for another speed anyway? I mean the thing flies as-is... right?

the nitro-rustler is not a 2-speed, you cant buy 1 for it anyways... people have tried to put 2-speed's on there rusty's, but no sucsess so far... personaly i dont think it needs a 2-speed, cuz it literly goes 50 allready! but ppl are speed freaks(nothing wrong with that), but i wouldnt mind a rusty with reverse

Try a search, there is/was a guy who is trying to do it. I think that he is making it a belt drive like the n-4tec.

I have a T-Maxx with reverse and it has caused me nothing but trouble. Mins has been very unrelyable since I had it. It usually takes several attempts to shift into reverse before it actually takes. By then I could have just walked over and moved it. As long as it didn't add a whole lotta extra weight (on an already light and agile vehicle like the Rustler) and was very reliable, it would be a great addition.

Not a 2 speed. Doesent bother me though. 50+ is plenty fast for me.

I admit the sound of a shifting engine is really cool.
