where exactly is this place? maybe I'll check it out when my s-maxx is running OK.

The track is in Brooklyn Park. Their web site is twincityhobby. com They just installed an air exchange so you can also run your tmaxx's inside now. Wed night is practice for nitro and they race nitro on thurs and sat nights. Tues nites and sat during the day is electric racing the rest of the time is open running. The track is 65 by 100 ft one of the nicest indoor dirt tracks in the country.
no on road corse. they are still using pvc pipes. there is not as much tables like the old place had.
I bash with a sportmaxx now but what I want to know is if I wanted to start racing at twin city hobby what would be the best class to start in? Electrics are an option. What do you guys think?![]()
My Sport Maxx must have been made for the U.S. postal service cuz it sure does haul the mail!!!
I'm new to this also but I'd say if you are comfortable enough in controling the vehicle take it there on WED nitro practice nights and log some track time.
Maybe just show up and talk to the guys who work there and get the rules adn regulations down first. Might have to get your truck 'track legal' befor they will even let you on it.

Hey Morganm. Have you been practicing or racing your sportmaxx there? If so what if any mods have you done and how competitive is it if you race? Just curious. Thanks for your prior responses!![]()

To be honest neither!
Once I can control the thing I think I'll headu p there on a WED night and check it out. Prolly go before then just to check it out and get the rules and regulations.
Peace

Think I will head up to twincityhobby next WED evening and check it out. I don't even think I'll bring my truck. Just want to see the place, talk to some people, and get the rules.
Some friends and family of mine are going to Buckhill this SAT afternoon to bash around. At the end of the parking lot there is a big sand lot. Those that know/remember they used to have BMX races there during the summer. No track this year it looks like but the pit is still there. Some two nice big burms (sp?), a dirt circle and even a pyramid table top to play on.
Check you guys later![]()

Hey guys never thought i'd run into any fellow MNer's. I dont have a traxxas truck but im looking into the Nitro 4-tec. I currently own a Team Associated RC10GT RTR plus. I didnt even thong there were any track in MN to run on.

me and a buddy bought 2.5 4tecs about 5 months ago. we all ready sold them. they are extremely fast. they dont handle very good. the reason we sold them is because they will bottom out on any small crack or small rock. if you have a place to run a on road car i would buy a nitro tc3.
Yeah im going back and forth on wether not to buy one and which one to buy. I been going between the 4-tec, RC10TC3, & some Hpi's

If any of you spend time up north in the summer check out paintwerksracing.com he has a list of most of the tracks in MN. and there's a lot of them up north. As far as tchr bowties and the new sportsmax tires seem to work about the best. They don't have a lot of rules on the tmaxx's right now but I think they want to keep them pretty close to stock to get more people in and not make it too exspensive.
If you really want to get info on tchr then check out the mn racing section on the forum at www.rctech.net. There are a lot of active mn r/cer's on that board. Way cool!![]()
